He originated 2 roles on Broadway-as Young Charlie in Chaplin the Musical and as Young Will in Big Fish in the Chicago and New York productions. He also closed the Broadway production of Newsies in the role of Les. Zach can be seen in the films What Maisie Knew (2012) and Admission (2013). He co-stars in Showtime's Billions (2016) as Kevin Rhoades and guest stars in Containment (2016) on Netflix as Quentin Frank. He is also guest starring on NBC's The Blacklist.

Zachary Westerman is from McAllen, Texas down in the Rio Grande Valley on the US/Mexico border. When Zach was 6 years old he read the children's book "Who Is Steven Spielberg?" and decided that he would like to explore acting and filmmaking. He went on to take acting classes and act in plays at the Pharr Community Theater and All Star Theater in the RGV as well as spending school breaks at Harand Camp for the Theater Arts in the Chicago area and in Improv classes with Second City Chicago. He began working professionally at the end of 2017 and then went on to continue his training with top Los Angeles schools and coaches.

Zachary William Chyz grew up Las Vegas, NV where he played hockey, golf and studied theater. Zach excelled in all realms but was consumed mostly by his athletics which took him around the nation to compete. By 16 years old he played for a Junior 'A' hockey team in Canada in the GMHL. Later he went on to play D1 golf for St. Francis College (SFC) on an athletic and academic scholarship. There he continued to study his theater as a COM major and was actively involved with the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was the mascot his junior and senior year. After Zach graduated, he went into to the workforce as a sales agent and quickly realized this was not his true path. in 2016, Zach got back into acting class studying with Adam Hill at Craft Acting Studio. 2 years later, Zach booked his first lead role in the feature film "Art of the Dead" starring Tara Reid and Richard Grieco. In summer of 2018 he made the decision to move to Los Angeles to follow his career dreams.
