Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Taylor lived in the Chicago and Decatur, Illinois, areas before her family moved to Bourbon, Missouri, a small town 60 miles southwest of St. Louis. At the age of 10 when she was cast in the title role of "Annie" at Ozark Actors Theatre, Rolla, Missouri. She grew up performing in the Muny and with Team Stages in St. Louis. During her sophomore year at University of Michigan, she was cast as Campbell Davis in the tour of "Bring It On: The Musical" and went on to perform the lead role on Broadway in 2012.

Tay began her creative writing life at the age of 12 as she would spend time writing fictional stories and music to express herself. While attending Prairie View A&M University, Tay studied business management and marketing and herself still utilizing her skills of creative writing when curating treatments for productions such as commercials and music videos. In 2012, she began working with her close friends PA The Writer and Chris Wayne, also known as 3 Live, as they gave her an avenue to get back into her self expression through music. In 2017, Tay founded an online radio show called "Catch 22 Radio" alongside her co-founders and hosts Andrew "Drewski" Williams and Bryan "Dboy" Davis. It is a show dedicated to give a voice to creatives and entrepreneurs. Tay also found joy in being the producer and host of the show. She would play a part in creating the content and segments on the show, as well as entertaining the listener with her wit. Catch 22 was able to reach thousands of listeners and interview some of the most thriving entertainers such as Kway, Jania Meshell, Kazeem, Jeff Shelley, Ken The Man, Andrea Kelly, and more! In 2018 she decided it was time to channel her favorite past time of storytelling by script. She began brainstorming film ideas with her writing partner Shy Towers. She wrote her first short film "Check Out Time",(2020) in association with her partner Corey Pratt (Vanta Media) and Calvin Walker (Watchmen Media) In May 2020, Tay founded Third Eye Pictures (3E Pictures), an independent production company in Dallas, Texas. Tay has plans to become a dominating force in the entertainment industry. She knows that her stories will leave everlasting impression on people.
