Susan Kendall Newman

Susan not only worked in films, but appeared on and off Broadway in the late 70s. She is well known for her social conscience and philanthropic efforts. She served as the Executive Director of several nonprofit organizations specializing in alcohol and drug abuse prevention, and then in child welfare. She has lectured all over the world promoting awareness on issues affecting the well-being of families and children. She continues to work for nonprofit organizations to redefine mission, increase funding and visibility, as well as providing film and video services. For 20 years Susan has been a successful writer/producer/documentary film maker. Her outstanding productions have made her the recipient of a Golden Globe, Humanitas, and Golden Eagle. She has also received nominations for an Emmy and Grammy Award.

Susan Kucera has been working in film since her youth, first as a camera assistant studying the Athabasca Glacier creating educational short films with her father, Glaciologist, Dr.Richard Kucera, for Encyclopedia Britannica Film Corporation, then as a screenwriter and director of documentaries. She produced, wrote, directed, and filmed Trading on Thin Air starring Nation Magazine's Alex Cockburn (2009). She wrote, filmed, directed, edited, and co-produced For the Love of Tango starring Broadway's Forever Tango, Jorge Torres (2014). She directed and filmed Improv(e) (2011) a documentary short highlighting the work of the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company and the teens from John C. Fremont High School in LA. She directed, filmed, and edited award-winning Breath of Life, starring Richard Dawkins (2014). Susan is director and cinematographer of the film Living in the Futures Past, a collaboration with Academy award-winning Jeff Bridges. The film has won multiple awards including the New York Film Festival and the UN gold medal for Outstanding Achievement in International Communications which best exemplifies the ideals and goals of the United Nations. Susan's documentaries have been featured in the U.S, Canada, and the UK on National Geographic, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Shaw, NHK, KCET, LINK TV, Time Warner, and schools and universities as well as translated for and featured on platforms in Italy, Germany, and Argentina.

Susan LaBrecque

Born in Abington, MA (South of Boston), Susan grew up in Drum and Bugle Corps as a performer in the color guard. She studied ballet, jazz and modern dance at several locations, including the Boston Ballet, Green St. Studios, Jeanette Neil Dance and at UMASS Boston. She graduated with a degree in Theatre and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career soon thereafter! In 2003, she married and moved to Long Beach, MS where she works as an actor, dance teacher and Pilates/Yoga instructor. She also regularly attends workshops to meet and work with casting directors. Recently, those have included: Ryan Glorioso, Matthew Morgan, Matthew Sefick, Jen Inguilli, and Helen McCready. She also continues her education with web-based programs by Amy Jo Berman, coaching with Lance Nichols and scene study classes with Gary Grubbs.
