Marc Lubbers was born and raised on various parts of Long Island, NY, but mostly in the small village of Sag Harbor, part of the famous Hamptons. His single-parent mother, a nurse, ran and elder-care facility in their home from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. As a child, Marc would perform skits and songs for his mother's residents with his collection of puppets, stuffed animals and Star Wars action figures. Defining moments inspiring Marc to a life as a performer came in the mid-1980s, among them: seeing Yul Brynner in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The King & I" in New York City and Billy Joel's concert video "Live from Long Island". He was trained in the early 1990s as a musician and an actor at Susquehanna and Northwestern universities. Post-training, he concentrated on a career as a singer/songwriter, recording a demo album called "The First Step" in 1995 and touring throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as a solo performer. The 21st century has brought Marc back to acting full time.
