Mike Stechyson began his acting career at the age of 18. He began working as a background performer on the BiteTV series "Guidance", which later turned into his first small acting role. After discovering his new found passion, Mike decided to pursue acting full time. He began taking acting classes at the top acting studios in Toronto and acting in low budget and student films. With a few years of experience under his belt, Mike met and signed with one of Toronto's most reputable talent agents and began auditioning for both network TV shows and feature films. Mike has booked work on Discovery ID and CBS shows, having worked with actors such as: Antony Starr (HBO Series "Banshee"), Academy Award Nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full Of Grace), Charlie Rowe (The Golden Compass), Jacqueline Byers (Showtime's "Roadies"), Jeffrey Nordling (24, Big Little Lies), Cristine Prosperi (Degrassi: Next Generation), Blake Burt (Pitch Perfect 2), and more. In 2015, Mike starred in the short-film "JOSH" which has screened at multiple film festivals throughout Canada and the United States. Mike recently played a large principal role in the Lifetime TV movie "Murdered at 17" as "Tryg Bailey". The film airs on March 15th, 2018. Mike continues his training in Toronto at LB Acting Studio with Lewis and Daniel Baumander, and is currently developing his own work.

RedLetterMedia is a film/video production company operated by independent filmmakers Mike Stoklasa and Jay Bauman. FXMike Strain Jr., started doing special make-up effects at the age of twelve years old, having been influenced by his father & his love of art, creation & illusions. He began by experimenting with all sorts of materials, creating basic appliances & latex slip masks. He then discovered the likes of Lon Chaney & Dick Smith and Strains work was forever changed. From the early 1980's until the mid 90's FXMike created various effects for numerous commercials, plays & TV show like Rescue 911 & Americas Most Wanted and then in 1994 he was hired to create all of the make-up FX, props & Pyrotechnics for his first feature film "Sinistre". In 1995 he directed his first feature film entitled "Vile 21" a sci-fi-ish, action horror film, which was later distributed on home video (VHS). Since then he has created a wide array of FX including Make-up FX, Props, Pyrotechnics, Physical FX (like rain, wind, snow & fog), Break always, Creatures, Custom costumes, Props & more for more than 80+ feature films as well as hundreds of commercials, TV shows, live productions & exhibits. Some of his most well know work has been on the movies & TV shows like You're Next, The Aggression scale, VHS, Darkness Reigns & Demon files. As well as an Atlanta Lottery commercial (featuring a dog on a toilet) & so much more. In 1989 Strain started his production company now Studio 2060 and has produced & helped produce hundreds of projects including feature films, videos & commercials. Including their latest Co-Production of Vincent's Vow. Studio 2060 has a slate of projects in the works for production this year. FXMike still to this day has the love & excitement for creation & now shares that passion with his wife Lily, son Madison & daughter in-law Jerica who regularly crew shows & travel all together.
