Originally from Marseille, south of France, Louis lived in Canada, Taiwan and Australia before finally settling down in London, where he has been living since 2010. Louis first passion was springboard diving. He trained for 10 years and represented his country in diverse international events. Sport has always played a big role in his life, he loves swimming, cycling and boxing, and still practices springboard diving from time to time. After putting an end to his athletic career in 2004, he then fully committed to his studies. This led him to graduating in 2007 with a Master's degree in Computer Engineering. He quickly found himself as a business analyst working for over 6 years on projects based in Asia, Australia and Europe. In the end, however, his enduring passion for acting saw him graduate in 2014 from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (London). Louis is now represented in the UK by Twenty-Nine Five Group and in France by Colette Agence Artistique. He works across films, theatre and physical theatre, and performs in both English and French.
Black is also a founder of the South By Southwest Music Festival and Conference in 1987 which added film and new media components in 1994. The South by Southwest Music, Film and Interactive Conferences and Festivals take place during ten days in March. An original Board Member of the Austin Film Society (AFS Founder and Artistic Director Richard Linklator) he is a past president of the organization. In 2000 Texas Monthly Editor Evan Smith and Black working with AFS established the Texas Film Hall of Fame also in March.

Louis Clarence Robins was born and raised in Gary, Indiana, to hard working class parents who instilled in him a sense of honesty, self-reliance and humility. Born the third of five children, Mr. Robins was the first of his siblings to finish high school and later attend college. A former certified Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter for six years; Mr. Robins began his acting career at the age of 38, appearing in an Quick Lube Plus national commercial spot.
