Joshua Leary was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to David Winot and Tammy Leary. After spending several formative years in Naples, FL with his paternal grandmother he began to find deeper inspiration and work on his craft, and eventually realized he needed to be in Los Angeles. Similar to many undiscovered actors he arrived to Los Angeles with little money. He stayed in a seedy hotel while he began his journey exploring and developing his acting career. Although his introduction to Los Angeles was challenging he also cherishes those days as enriching and filled with laughter and adventure. This created the foundation for his depth and commitment to each role he takes on. During that time Josh was grateful to meet Vancouver-based actor Chris Gauthier. Chris and Josh became great friends and Josh attributes Chris to helping him get where he is today. Josh loves diversity in his roles and is invested in the real American hero of film. He is consistently inspired by the greats such as Daniel Day Lewis, Gary Oldman and Robert De Niro.
