His father, Brian Welman Curtice is a Missouri-born small business owner who owns and operates his own carpet cleaning business. He is of Irish, Hispanic, Scottish, German, and Native American descent. Charles grew up in Torrance, California, where he graduated from the local High School (2017). Having little interest in normal occupations growing up, Charles began pursuing a military career at age thirteen when he joined the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC). He excelled in all aspects of the program, attaining his pilot's permit at age fifteen, expert level proficiency with all types of firearms by age sixteen, and being awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution award at age eighteen. He was ready to enlist after his graduation in the summer of 2017, but his plans were put on hold when he fractured his ankle at a family reunion in a game of basketball. Charles began his acting career in 2018 during his recovery. Being well versed in Korean martial arts, Charles thought he might pursue a viable career in stunt work. He soon learned his love for throwing kicks and punches was equally matched by his new found love for creating characters. He began appearing in student films across Los Angeles, and eventually made his way into a few low-budget features. During this time, Charles discovered another hidden talent; writing. With a new way of developing characters, Charles began writing his first feature film "Never Any Blue," after witnessing a car crash late at night on a Los Angeles freeway. Charles now pursues filmmaking with the same tenacity, creativity, and level head he had when he was a cadet and professional martial artist.
