Brandon Denton is a Los Angeles-based actor. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Brandon was raised by his single mother. At the age of 4, Brandon and his mother moved from Nashville to The Woodlands, Texas, one of America's first master-planned communities, located just outside of Houston. As a young boy, Brandon craved attention and stopped at almost nothing to get it anywhere he could. As he often acted-out as a child, disciplinary actions were constant because of his rebellious nature toward authority in the classroom. That rebellion coupled with his outgoing personality made many students during middle school gravitate toward Brandon, which lead to many long-lasting friendships. Because of the qualities absorbed from his mother, families adopted Brandon as their own for weekends at a time. Discrimination and judgment were never a part of his vocabulary, as he made friends with anyone and everyone that would grant him their time of attention. While attending middle school, Brandon had his first exposure to theater arts and loved it. Acting on stage proved to be an extension of his everyday gregarious nature. He also began playing both the trumpet and guitar, and received numerous UIL medals for his trumpet solos and duets. Skateboarding became an everyday habitual addiction, with many weekends spent at local skate parks with friends. He also began racing BMX bicycles. An addiction to the video game Halo surfaced, which lead to competing in a few tournaments. A competitive player, he even learned and became excellent at cup-stacking, for which he won medals in inter-school competitions. His competitive spirit kicked in to hyper-speed while attending The Woodlands College Park High School. Brandon excelled in sports, for which his skills began developing as a young child. He was unofficially clocked as running the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. At the top of his list was football, for which he was named All-Defensive First Team during his senior year. During high school, Brandon made his first stage appearance in a production of Laurie Brooks' The Wrestling Season, a play about teenagers' search for identities and the peer pressure that accompanies it. This experience taught him to accept his unique individuality and defy social norms regardless of his peers' acceptance. As a result, he gained great self-confidence and strong self-worth, which allowed him the freedom to express himself as an artist. Because of his nature to seek new adventure, Brandon sought an entirely new atmosphere after high school and decided to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he majored in Theater Arts. During college, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, where he lived with more than 50 other residents. After graduating in 2012, Denton eagerly made his journey to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Shortly after arriving in LA, Brandon first trained at Seydways Acting Studios where he worked with Richard Seyd. He quickly secured representation and began building his acting resume in film and television, web, print, commercials and theater. Besides acting, Brandon enjoys watching films, working out, meeting new people, playing basketball, reading, philosophizing, sailing and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
